Summary

CogniTrack Pro is a personal wellness and cognitive-training app. It is designed to keep your data on your device. By default the app does not transmit any of your data to us or to any third party. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and the app contains no third-party SDKs.

What data the app processes

All of the following is created and stored locally on your device and is under your control:

Cognitive test results such as scores, reaction times, and timestamps.
Wellness data you enter, including workouts, meditation sessions, routine reflections, optional blood-glucose readings, and optional manually entered screen-time figures.
Profile values you set, such as age and biological sex, used only to calculate age-adjusted reference ranges on your device, and your language preference.
Apple Health data, if you grant permission.

We, the developer, do not receive any of this data.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you grant permission, CogniTrack Pro reads the following from Apple Health to show wellness trends and estimates on your device only: heart-rate variability (SDNN), resting heart rate, sleep, steps/activity, and workout/VO₂max data where available.

The app does not write any data to Apple Health.
Health data is processed on-device and is never transmitted to the developer or to third parties.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is not shared or sold.
You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → CogniTrack.

Optional self-hosted sync (off by default)

CogniTrack Pro includes an optional feature that lets technically inclined users sync their data to a server they themselves operate. This feature is disabled by default and is inactive unless you explicitly enter the address of your own server.

If you enable it, your data is sent only to the server address you configure — operated by you, not by the developer.
The developer operates no cloud service for this app and receives no data through this feature.
If you never configure a server, no data leaves your device through this feature.

Data storage, retention, and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it.
You can export a full backup, import a backup, or delete all results from within the app.
Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data from your device. Apple Health data is governed by Apple Health.

Purchases and subscriptions

CogniTrack Pro's optional Pro features are unlocked by a one-time or auto-renewing purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details — Apple processes the transaction and shares only an anonymous receipt so the app can unlock Pro on your device. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew through your Apple ID and can be managed or cancelled at any time in your App Store account settings. The subscription terms are governed by Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA).

Website feedback and test-user signups

The optional forms on the CogniTrack website are separate from the app. If you submit one, DRFRIEDELS receives and stores only the information you enter, plus limited technical data needed to prevent abuse.

Product feedback: your proposal, selected focus area, language, and optional email address.
Test-user signup: your email address, Apple-device setup, optional testing interests, language, and the time of your consent.
Abuse prevention: IP address, country indication, and a shortened technical fingerprint used for rate limiting and spam screening.

Feedback data is used only to evaluate or reply to your proposal. Test-user data is used only to contact you about relevant CogniTrack test versions and test questions; it is not added to a newsletter list. Records remain in the private DRFRIEDELS admin system until they are resolved, no longer needed, or you ask us to delete them. You may withdraw test-contact consent or request deletion at any time via info@drfriedels.com.

Children

CogniTrack Pro is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The app is intended for general-audience adult use.

Security

Data is held in on-device storage and protected by iOS device security. No transmission method is perfectly secure; if you enable self-hosted sync, the security of the destination server is your responsibility.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your device and is not collected by us, you remain in direct control of it. Where applicable law, such as the EU/EEA GDPR, grants rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability, you can exercise these directly through the app's export and delete functions.
